Rain watches over the herd and daydreams about what she left behind at the Lakota Village and shes missing her home so she runs away keeping a sweet thought in mind what she should tell Spirit but fears he will stop her from leaving. So she desides to just leave without goodbyes. Spirit wakes to see Rain isn't sleeping beside him and quickly runs to the herd and ask if anyone seen Rain. He evil sister Artic Fox tells Spirit that Rain had given birth to a Lakota ponies foal so that she could make Rain sound deciving so that herself(Artic fox) could win Spirit's heart over. So that she can be leadmare because she tired of being second best to Rain.
